BFA IV Women’s Baseball Asia Cup 2025: A Proud Representation by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura
The BFA IV Women’s Baseball Asia Cup 2025 was held from 26th of October to 2nd of November 2025, in Hangzhou, China. Organized by the Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA), this prestigious continental tournament brought together the finest women’s baseball teams from across Asia, showcasing exceptional talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Representing Sri Lanka and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, two outstanding athletes from the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Sports Science, participated in this remarkable championship — K.G. Pramudi Nimsara Thilakasiri (3rd Year) and R.P.P.A. Randeni (2nd Year). Their participation marked a historic moment for the university and women’s baseball in Sri Lanka.
Throughout the tournament, both athletes demonstrated impressive skill, discipline, and dedication, competing against some of the strongest teams in Asia. Their participation not only raised the profile of Sri Lankan women’s baseball but also motivated fellow students and aspiring athletes back home to pursue excellence in the sport.
