Our university is proud to announce that two of our outstanding cricketers have been selected to represent the Colombo North Team in the prestigious Inter-District Under-25 T20 Cricket Tournament 2025, organized by Sri Lanka Cricket together with the Colombo District Cricket Association. The players chosen are Isuru Kavinda from the Faculty of Engineering and Theviru De Silva from the Faculty of Management. Both have been integral members of our university cricket team, consistently demonstrating skill, discipline, and passion for the game. Their selection reflects not only their personal dedication but also the growing strength of our university’s sporting culture.

This tournament, held at the CMS School Ground over a period of three weeks, featured matches in multiple formats including T-20, One-Day, and Two-Day encounters. Teams representing Colombo North, Colombo Central, and Colombo South competed with players drawn from cricket clubs, particularly those who have played in Division Three competitions. Against this competitive backdrop, the inclusion of our university players in the Colombo North squad is a remarkable achievement.

Their participation is a source of pride for the entire university community, showcasing how academic excellence and sporting talent can thrive together.
