J’pura Hockey Excels at Pera 6’s
On 10–11 May 2025, at the University of Peradeniya hosted the high‑energy Pera 6’s Inter‑University Hockey Championship, a major six‑a‑side tournament across the Sri Lankan university hockey calendar. The Hockey team of University of Sri Jayewardenepura participated with formidable squads: J’pura Yellow and J’pura Blue in the women’s category and J’pura A and J’pura B in the men’s, showcasing both depth and ambition.
Women’s Joint Champions
In the women’s division, J’pura Yellow emerged as joint champions with the University of Kelaniya, demonstrating outstanding synergy and persistence on the field. Among them, N. L. Sirimanne delivered a stellar performance, earning the accolade of Best Player of the Tournament.
