Out Bounding Training Program for University Sports Leaders
A special Out Bounding Training program was successfully conducted on May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, 2025, at the Maduru Oya Special Forces Camp, Rajarata. The program was organized by the Physical Education Division with the aim of developing leadership skills and team spirit among university sports leaders.
A total of 75 University Sports Captains and Vice-Captains participated in this intensive three-day training. The event was designed to prepare student leaders both mentally and physically for the upcoming Sri Lanka University Games, fostering the qualities needed to lead their teams to victory.
The training sessions were conducted under the guidance of the Sri Lanka Special Forces, who introduced participants to a series of structured activities, including physical challenges, strategic games, obstacle navigation, and leadership tasks. These activities focused on building teamwork, communication, confidence, and resilience.


The unique environment of the Maduru Oya Special Forces Camp added authenticity and intensity to the experience. The combination of military discipline and physical endurance training gave participants a new perspective on leadership, unity, and goal-oriented teamwork. This program was widely appreciated by all participants, who left with a renewed sense of purpose, unity, and motivation. With strengthened leadership capabilities and team cohesion, the university sports captains and vice-captains are now better prepared to guide their teams to success in the Sri Lanka University Games.
